Preliminary Ecological Appraisal
Preliminary Ecological Appraisals are carried out when local authorities require wildlife habitat information to inform planning applications.
This survey may identify European Protected Species (EPS) such as bats, dormouse or great creasted newts. If these are present and identified within the survey report then further survey (extended) will be required by the local authority prior to giving a planning decision.
